woe is me

i am apparently sick again and it is getting me annoyed. i started coughing out of nowhere last night, but felt alright otherwise. still, i took precaution and took some nyquil before going to sleep to try to perhaps cure myself of anything before it actually hit.

i guess it didn't work.

i have been coughing like a maniac all day long, along with almost all of my co-workers (we are almost like a coughing chorus of sorts). i think i have a temperature as well, as i seem to be very warm to the touch and slightly clammy. i don't want to be sick anymore and i certainly don't need a chest cold with my asthma. i suppose i am just going to go straight home, take some more nyquil, and tuck in for the evening. what an exciting friday night, eh?

i have about an hour left here at work and its ticking by so slowly. all i can think about it curling up in my warm bed (i luff heated mattress pads!)....

poop.

edit: added my "woe is me" pic for the occasion

eeew. coughing+fever = the flu, not a cold. be careful, drink lots of fluids, and take some Advil. Hope you get to feeling better!

Awww poor baby! :( Take care of your self and get lots of rest!

(I may have to invest in a heated mattress pad, sounds cozy.)

oh god, its one the best investments i ever made (really cuts down your heating bills). before this place, i lived in an old drafty house, so you would just freeze to death at night (especially since my bed was right by a window). with the pad though, you just turn it on and it keeps you cozy all night. its cooler than an electric blanket too (i have always thought they were itchy), becuase you just put it below the sheets and the heat rises and warms you up.

its my parent's fault, they had one first. in fact, they have a dual-temperature one where they can change the temperature to suit their personal preference and its only on their side. cool, huh?

well, i think my bed is probably pre-heated enough and its calling my name. talk with you soon. :)

Oh that sounds wonderful! Electric blankets are definitely itchy and never the perfect temp. I like the idea of "pre-heating" my bed. I'm sold!

My grandmother bought themselves one of those blankets last winter. The first week they slept with it my grandfather kept getting hot so he kept turning the control down and my grandmother kept getting cold so she kept turning her control up. They were about to take it back to the store when my grandmother realized that she had switched the controls and put them on the wrong sides of the bed!

Sorry you're sick. It truly sucks. It has been a very bad year for that, it seems.
