On this episode, I continue my happy foray into my new Falling-in-Love-with-Doctor-Who-Again series  -- again called "Spark Joy," because I'm a dork – with a very squeeful and, honestly, a little bit vulnerable review of my favorite Twelfth Doctor story, "Heaven Sent". And, yes, because of who I am as a person,  I do go on quite a bit about it, so you just might want to get comfortable. Maybe find a really comfy chair and perhaps a nice tasty snack to enjoy while listening. Or perhaps just a long trip in the car will suffice. You do you.

Oh, and, in addition to all of that loquacious squee for "Heaven Sent," there's also even more squee within my Happy Fandom Time segment with mentions of a new podcast guest spot, some new Doctor Who things I've bought recently that I loving, but especially lots of squee, in particular, in the case of some long and juicy listener feedback that I start to tackle (but couldn't finish answering this time round, sadly, because apparently I talk way too much. #homegirlyounevershutup).

So, hold onto your hats, everyone, and enjoy the ride! I'm so glad to have you all aboard again on this Love Train! #choochoo

Hello everyone! And welcome any new listeners!

So, my episode reviewing 'Knock Knock' is finally here! And this time around I talk lots about everything from my experiences at the recent local Doctor Who convention 'Wholanta', to laying down a few delightful podcast recommendations, to some musing on the whole Race!Fail period of S3 and all that really great meta that come out of all of that WAY BACK on LiveJournal (remember that site?), to Jo Grant's grandson as the Iron Fist (!), and on to dark fairy tales and (mis)interpreting them, to British English spellings vs. American ones, and to some classical geeking about Dryads, all the way to musing a bit about this adventure as an episode of the reality show 'The Real World'. Phew!

So, I truly hope you will all join me for this episode and, as always, glad to have you all aboard. Do enjoy the ride!

Greetings Earthlings!

This is Narco, from the planet Vicodin. The human in charge of this podcast has just been released from false imprisonment, as we had originally believed it was impersonating our Grand Senator Krog Krog, but was in fact just incapacitated from a recent primitive human surgery.

This recording was found on its person and is -- as the human says -- several weeks out of date. We have given the recording back to the human as it does not seem to contain anything that is a threat to our race according to our analysts. Please accept our apologies for the delay in this transmission as we hope to maintain peace with your world.

May Vicodin sing in the seven sunsets and the Great Krog Krog prevail always!

So, my episode reviewing 'The Pilot' is finally here! Yes, there were some technical errors and issues (quite a few), as well as Life Stuff that got in the way, but I bested them and finally was able to pull it all together for you here today (albeit with a bit of a sore throat that makes my voice crack much like male puberty at times, but oh well, these things happen).

Anyway, so join me as I excitedly talk about our first proper introduction to Bill Potts, discuss shades of 'Shada', play around with some Jungian interpretations and other related chat about water and reflection imagery, empathize with young awkward queers, dance for disco androids, and try to contain my burning Professor fetish.

I'm back! Yes, another (unexpected) hiatus down and here I am again!

Yeah, as I say in my introduction, I've been really behind on podcasting these last few months due to dealing with some fairly heavy medical stuff, but, despite all that, I'm hoping to get back on the saddle and really determined to get this podcast whipped back into shape.

So, in the spirit of all of that, in this return episode, you'll find my belated review for the last Christmas special, 'The Return of Doctor Mysterio'. I just really wanted to get that one covered before my foray into S10 of the new series, so that I could feel 'caught up', per se. Now, I had honestly also hoped this episode would be out before the new Doctor Who episode aired (and recorded it before then, as you'll be able to tell when I talk about it coming up), but pesky technical issues and Life Stuff slowed things down a few days, so it is a teeny bit late (speaking of which, I had to use a temporary different recording set-up, so there were a few teeny sound issues, but probably not enough for anyone to really notice). Oh well.

Anyway, again in this episode is my long overdue review of the Christmas special, as well as talk about anything from my squee about the return of Rona Munro and the Mondasian Cybermen from the Classic series, to the upcoming Atlanta Doctor Who convention Wholanta, to Bill being our first incontrovertibly gay companion on the televised series (so, yeah, not including my beloved Izzy Sinclair from the DWM comics who was also a lesbian, of course), to my great love of the superhero and comics genre, to Nice Guys (tm) and Sexy Lamps, etc.

So, yeah, I hope you all will join me for my review and episode discussion. And, as always, glad to have you all aboard. Enjoy the ride!

On this belated episode, I indulge in some Andrew Cartmel love, I lament a bit about my current state of Moffat-Hate-Fatigue, I feel far too many feels discussing 'Husbands of River Song', I rant a bit about the show's portrayal of Rose and her relationship with the Doctor (contrasting it with River and the Doctor's relationship, natch), and I even embarrass myself quite a bit by uncharacteristically tacking on some small boopers/outtakes at the end of the show (despite my perfectionist side screaming in protest!).

I've long heard tales from other podcasters of 'cursed' episodes that have either been lost to time or were just vast struggles to get out. So, I guess it was inevitable that I'd have one of those misfortunes myself. Yes, this episode had tons of stumbling blocks, almost too many to name, but its finally here (albeit about 2 months late!). I do hope that it is worth the wait!

Anyway, join me on this episode as I finally discuss the last three episodes of S9 -- 'Face the Raven', 'Heaven Sent', and 'Hell Bent' -- finally polishing off my thoughts on last year's Doctor Who stories. I do hope you all will join me and, as always, glad to have you all aboard. Enjoy the ride!

OMG, I'm back! Is anyone still out there? *crickets* Um, maybe not. Anyway, it's really good to be back, finally. I've had tons of Big Life Stuff pod-blocking me all year, but I think I'm now in a good place to get back aboard the good-ship Terminus. Admittedly I was a bit under the weather recording the episode, but I was just so determined to get a new episode done and dusted, I went forward with it anyway. Let it be known that many coughs were valiantly sacrificed on the cutting floor, though. So, that was definitely a challenge! Well, that and trying not to slip up and say 'Chinballs' instead of Chibnall, because REASONS.

Anyway, join me on this episode as I talk about my humble little podcast's plans for the year and then also my thoughts about the new companion (as)Bill, the 2017 Doctor Who television hiatus, Steven Moffat leaving as showrunner, and finally Chris Chibnall coming on board as showrunner in his stead. I hope you all will join me and, as always, glad to have you all aboard. Enjoy the ride!

A little shorter of an episode than usual for me, but also one a bit on the political side of things this time around (yet again — though hopefully this won’t be a usual thing), here is my belated episode discussion of the recent Mark Gatiss story, ‘Sleep No More’.

Inside you’ll find some happy Jessica Jones gushing, some allusions to ancient rad vs. trad fandom debates, chat about transphobic microaggressions and internalized prejudice, and a wee bit of roller derby squeeing thrown in for good measure.

So, anyway, I hope you all will join me for my review and episode discussion. And, as always, glad to have you all aboard. Enjoy the ride!

Coming to you a bit later than I'd planned (bad head cold + some Jessica Jones bingeing is a deadly combination for this podcaster, apparently), here is my episode discussion of the recent Zygon 2-parter. This was definitely one of my more personal episodes and certainly most political (which is admittedly odd to me), but then since the story was very political itself, I suppose it was somewhat hard to avoid? Oh, and this was also recorded before the recent Paris attacks, so any similarities to such discussions are entirely coincidental.

In this episode, I discuss identity politics (especially when it comes to Osgood), Zygons in the closet (likely not what you think), the awesomeness that is Jenna Coleman and Peter Capaldi, and revisiting the classic 'Terror of the Zygons'. Also included is some Harry Sullivan love, random music interjections, gratuitous skating references, some podcasting shout-outs, and probably way more than you ever needed to know about how I punch my Queer Card. Also, many coughs were sacrificed to the cutting room floor, but I still managed to come off sounding quite a bit gravely again due to my sore throat.

So, anyway, I hope you all will join me for my review and discussion of both 'The Zygon Invasion' and 'The Zygon Inversion'. And, as always, glad to have you all aboard. Enjoy the ride!

Herein I present a somewhat belated episode, wherein Clara completely steals the show for me, even with her little bit of screen-time in the second part, and, yeah, like a fool I'm just left making grabby hands at the screen for her. And also wherein I randomly have a bit of a go at RTD a few times during the show, which was admittedly not too pretty. I don't know, he just seemed to keep coming up like a bobbing apple or a floating witch (trying to relate things to Halloween with my awkward analogies, yo!) for some reason! I suppose that recording at 6:00 AM after being up all night brings out my...punch-drunk and ranting side, apparently? You've been warned!

Also, there's some bonus chat about polytheism, polyamory, and various other p-words, which, as I was trying a new mic set-up this time around, things all went a bit pear-shaped (another p-word!) and the plosive fixes were unfortunately needed in force, as well as a few other various technical glitches that managed to double (triple?) my usual editing time. Maybe it was all witch's curse? Sed Libera Nos a Malo! (I've obviously been watching too many Hammer Horror films recently).

Anyway, as with this episode, for the next episode I plan on reviewing the Zygon 2-parter together. That episode should hopefully drop by about a week after 'The Zygon Inversion' airs, if all goes to plan. So yeah, you guys subscribing to the Terminus RSS feed on iTunes (or any other fine podcatchers, of course!) might make things a bit easier to follow along, as my schedule has been a bit wonky as of late, as I try to catch up. But of course that's all up to you.

So, anyway, I hope you all will join me for my somewhat sloxicated review 'The Girl Who Died' and 'The Woman Who Lived'. And, as always, glad to have you all aboard. Enjoy the ride!

So, I'm currently running about a week behind on my releases, so here's a rather belated chat from me about the recent Doctor Who episode 'Before the Flood', all coming at you from somewhere adrift in the Doctor's timeline (forgot to check the helmic regulator for more details than that!) . Yeah, methinks you guys subscribing to the Terminus RSS feed on iTunes (or any other fine podcatchers, of course!) might make things a bit easier to follow along, as my schedule has been a bit wonky as of late, but of course that's all up to you.

Oh, and relatedly, since my release dates aren't currently what I hoped for, due to Life Stuff, I'm combining my reviews for both 'The Girl Who Died' and the 'The Woman Who Lived' into ONE episode next time around, just to try to get all caught up and stuff. This may be how I attack future two-parters as well -- we shall see! WHO NOSE!

Also, I realized as I edited my somewhat rushed recording for this episode from earlier in the week, that I forgot to rate 'Before the Flood' in my actual podcast content! So, I'll give you this wee little spoiler (Avert your eyes, if need be!): I'm giving it a 4.5 out of 5. Looking back, that is the same score I gave for 'Under the Lake', as well, 0so I guess this two-parter ends up with a nice round score of 4.5 out of 5 for me. Excellent. (Er, I do hope you'll still listen even with knowing my score, though!)

So, anyway, I hope you all will join me as I review this super-shippy episode of Doctor Who. And, as always, glad to have you all aboard. Enjoy the ride!

Long podcast episode is long. And late. But them's the breaks during a confluence of technical issues and illness, I suppose? Still, it's finally here, nonetheless!

Now, full disclosure, this episode was actually recorded before the second part 'Before the Flood'' aired, so obviously some of my speculation and predictions didn't quite turn out to come true, of course, but, hey, some of them did! You can even play Nicole-is-right-or-wrong Bingo, if you'd like -- though I don't have any pre-made Bingo cards for the occasion, unfortunately!

Anyway, I hope you all will join me on this episode, as I gush about the newest episode of Doctor Who. And, as always, glad to have you all aboard. Enjoy the ride!

Despite some trials with illness and internet issues (curses, Mercury Retrograde!), this intrepid podcaster has finally prevailed and so thus, this episode is finally done and dusted and ready for your consumption. BUILD HIGH FOR HAPPINESS! Oh, wait...that's another story.

Anyway, within you will find my discussion of the conclusion of the S8 opening story, "The Witch's Familiar". Admittedly, I get a bit punch-drunk and somewhat naughty at points (woo, cold medicine!), so the listen might be entertaining or even frightening by some of your standards, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.

So, yeah, I hope you all will join me on this episode, as I gush about our newest exciting episode of Doctor Who. And, as always, glad to have you all aboard. Enjoy the ride!

A little later than I anticipated -- still getting used to fitting in all the podcast work all by my lonesome! -- but here is my discussion of the S8 opening story, "The Magician's Apprentice"! Of course, how this story is going to end is the grand mystery of the hour, but that's cool, I still found there was more enough to talk about within part one (and what a part one it was!).

I'm back to the full-style episode format for now, along with the return of my old friend, Happy Fandom Time (which there is so much to be happy about in the Whoniverse these days -- it was hard to contain myself!). My voice is admittedly still a bit gravelly (though I did take care to edit out any coughs), but I think everything is a-ok.

Anyway, join me on this episode as I gush about our newest episode of Doctor Who. And, as always, glad to have you all aboard. Enjoy the ride!

Finally, here's my belated thoughts on Series 8 and the incumbent Twelfth Doctor, which are admittedly -- spoiler! -- a full-on love fest. This was recorded the next day after I recorded my previous episode about the 10th anniversary of New!Who, so I apologize that my voice was still a bit crackly from getting over that sore throat, but I think it sounds basically all right (besides didn't a lot of classic Hollywood sirens have raspy voices? Um... not that I'm a classic Hollywood siren in any sense!).

Again, this is a 'mini-episode' of sorts, and again, its admittedly not that short despite the diminutive episode status, but as I said before, I just wanted to have a breather to rework the schedule going forward, so I did this bonus-style episode. After this, Series 9 is starting up and I'm planning on reviewing those stories as they come out and then, gods willing, hopefully this Podcast-Train will no longer be derailed (also, fingers crossed that there's no homicidal ancient soldier-mummy systematically killing everyone on said Podcast-Train, by the way, because that would just be very, very awkward). Choo choo!

Anyway, join me on this episode as I gush about series 8 of Doctor Who, including extolling the virtues of PCap's lovely eyebrows and Jenna's smashing flapper dress. And, as always, glad to have you all aboard. Enjoy the ride!
