okay, so i have this office crush (as many of us do, i am sure) that i've been working on a bit and i was speaking to one of my co-workers about him this afternoon about how i should approach him on the subject that i am interested (he is a bit shy, so many of my hints seem to be dropping into nothingness). i waxed poetic on how things were so simple when we were children and how you could just pass one of those notes that says "do you like me?" with two boxes for "yes" and "no" and have them check it.

then it hit me -- why does it have to be so hard? its only as hard as i am making it.

so, needless to say, i wrote up a little note that said that very thing:

its in an envelope on his desk to be found on monday morning. let's just see what happens. if anything, it will be a big laugh!

don't worry about the age thing either, one of the most endearing (and long-lasting) relationships i had was with an older man. when we started dating, i was 21 and he was 35.
