radiantbaby: (dr who -- eleven's team TARDIS of awesom)
I wish I had the time or the energy to do a proper review of 'The Impossible Astronaut' & 'The Day of the Moon', but I just don't. At least not right now. Still, suffice it to say, in short, I loved them both.

In fact, I THOUGHT THEY WERE BOTH FREAKIN' AMAZING!

With every passing episode, I swear I get more and more overjoyed and thankful that we now have Moffat at the wheel of our show. I love that he's playing a long game with us, telling us the story slowly and in bits and pieces. Yes, that might not be the type of narrative for everyone, but it is for me. And no, we didn't get all of our questions answered, but I don't care. I have faith that Moff will tie it all together eventually (and I'm sure he'll surprise me with how he does it -- which makes the wait even more exciting!).

As I aside, I've seen some complaints that the Doctor's resolution of the Silent's threat was OOC. I guess I find that confusing, personally, because it certainly fits with the character we've come to know since the First Doctor. In fact, RTD's 'I never would' Doctor was far more baffling to me personally. Either way, I think [livejournal.com profile] calapine put it best in here (and in her follow-up here).

Anyway, now I need some sleep (and more hours in my day, yes).

P.S. As I said on Twitter, my Personal (Cracky) Who's-inna-Spacesuit Theory is Rose. I can just see it: Handy died of metacrisis just after the TARDIS left, Rose is pissed off at the Doctor as result, and this is her revenge (she's punched holes in the multiverse for less). I think, in a way, she makes the perfect baddie -- very co-dependent like The Master. Yeah, it is in no way going to be What Actually Happens/ed Onna Telly, but it amuses me to think about anyway. Because I'm evil.
