Well, it's month-end at work, but things are starting to slow down pretty drastically. It's funny because the entire week of month-end is so busy, but by the time you come to the last day (or, at least, last business day for us - some other departments have to work tomorrow), things just sort of drop of my afternoon. Most of my team has even gone home for the day already, but I have to hang out here until 5:30 to get my hours for the week (I thought I had more overtime than that, but I calculated wrong, I suppose).

I am glad this week is over though. It has been very stressful. Luckily though, I have been doing little things to improve my diet and lifestyle and that has eased some stress. I did make it to Curves on Tuesday and though I couldn't make it last night as planned, I hope to go there tonight after work and get at least one more workout for the week in. My goal is to go at least 3 times a week, so for my first week back at the gym in some time, I think that I have done well to get there at least two. I just have to be like a 12-step program and take each day as it comes. I have also gotten some books on Nutrition from Book Nook (Black Nick's, right [livejournal.com profile] justben?), as well as one of those "Coney Island Grills" you see on TV that is a grill/griddle thing you can put over your stove burners, so that I can grill more food at home. It's a bit cheesy, I know, but it should do what I need.

Anyway, I need to lay low this weekend, especially to give [livejournal.com profile] justben some much needed space. We've become so enmeshed in each other, we haven't been able to tend to our personal responsibilities. I really fear the possibility of this becoming a point of contention in the relationship, so I am taking the initiative to step back. I'll be at PPN tonight, though, but I probably won't be around for the rest of the weekend.

Oh, and I had a silly revelation last night. I have been looking for something to use to make an altar lately, but I have just never found something that I wanted or felt right. Anyway, I was looking through the Garden Ridge circular last night and it occurred to me that I could always get one of those Greco-Roman-styled pedestals and use that. I mean, I could extend the top with something if needed, perhaps I could get [livejournal.com profile] davidmcd to steal me some more marble. I had been looking at the "Strega" altars on Grimassi's store site and they are just too pricey. I mean, if I want something somewhat Greco-Roman as a base, I would think this would work perfectly (which actually is good because Strega is Italian and then my patron is Artemis, who is, of course, Greek). I already have something really cool that I am going to put on my altar that is Artemis related, but I can't go into detail because it relates to one of [livejournal.com profile] justben's birthday gifts I can't give him yet. Ssssh!

Well, I need to tie things up here at work so that I can get out on time. See everyone at PPN. :)

What a great idea. Michael's also carries those pedestals. Enjoy creating!
