Well, I was born in Pennsylvania, though I spent a majority of my life (since around 3 years old) here in the Atlanta-area. Maybe it's because that's how my parent's spoke -- or at least my father. My mother was from California.
I have been told by people outside of Georgia that I have a southern accent though. Maybe it's inevitable living around here.
