Cass Records Update
Jan. 9th, 2004 01:57 pma la mr. blackwell (pay special attention to the bold part at the end)...
Hello to the twelve of you who've signed up for the cass records email list extravaganza!
I'm here writing to tell you all kinds of wonderful things that are going on with the not-so-wonderful record label.
First off, we're currently sitting on a big box full of Blanche full-length CD's for their brilliant album "If We Can't Trust the Doctors..." Since we can't trust the system, these won't be officially "released" until March, but you'll be able to order them from our website next week.
If you're too lazy to order online, you can climb off your carcass and go to any of the finer independant music retailers in the metro Detroit area, where the CD's are personally hand-delivered by me in my tin-plated Humvee.
Also available is the latest single from Milwaukee dumb punks Sagger. I kid you not when I say this record is so terrible that you have to have it. Order now at www.cassrecords.com
On top of that, many have enquired about the sold out Tin Knocker 45. I have a few squirreled away that I'm willing to trade for anything interesting. Other records, vintage t-shirts, a canoe (really, I want a canoe)...email me at cassdetroit@aol.com to see if I'll bite.
later...ben

argh! i would love-love-love to get me a copy of that tin knocker 45. i've downloaded the songs, but its just not the same as holding that perfect slab on vinyl between your fingertips and listening to it in all its crackly-crack-crack glory. man, i have to dig through my stuff when i get home and try and find something that ben might be interested in for trade. there has to be something i have that he would want. grrr.
damn you, ben blackwell, damn you! *raises fist in the air*
er, yeah...
