It was such a lovely and pleasant surprise to open my mailbox today to find you had bought me Sweethearts of the Blues! It was completely unexpected, so thank you thank you thank you! I had chose that particular one as that seemed to be the best one from what I had heard (plus, I remember you quoting from it from time to time in your journal), I'll certainly have to bring it with me on my trip this weekend!
Oh, speaking of Christmas, I just got my renewal notice for Devil In The Woods magazine (http://www.diwmagazine.com/) and it mentions a deal on getting a gift subsciption for someone. I wanted to get one for you if you are interested. It's a good little magazine. It is only quarterly, but it comes with these neat rare 7"'s each issue (and you are one of my few friends who appreciates vinyl as much as I do). If you are interested, I would be happy to get that for you. If not, I would be happy to get you anything else your little heart desires :)
Plus, I just realized I still have your birthday gift that I never sent (a book called Punk: The Illustrated History of a Music Revolution) . I need to get that out to you. This has been one crazy year!
