I didn't realize I was longing for it either until it happened (the contrast to the angst was just so strong, even though I'd come to accept that as the norm before Eleven made the Doctor fun again). I am so glad it did though -- Matt Smith as Eleven has greatly surprised and thrilled me. Roll on Christmas!
